Job Title: Engineer Field Support & Technical Service

Reports to: TS-FP Manager EMEIA

 

 

 

Department: Technology

 

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Ø Ensure all activities are in line with EHS requirements and Company's compliance policies

 

Ø Promote new and existing products and technologies to customers and sales through communication, customer visits, exhibitions, conferences and trainings.

 

Main focus: Composites, Adhesives and Tooling

 

Ø Provide technical service to customers and sales including recommendations, field trials, and processes. Contribute to technical documentation and the investigation of customer complaints.

 

Ø Perform lab trials (when labs available in Russia – date to be confirmed) or/and work in close collaboration with the labs based in Basel.

 

Ø Ensure lab demos for customers and local sales team (when labs available in Russia – date to be confirmed).

 

Ø Ensure demo at customer sites

 

Ø Ensure answers are provided to customers’ request by phone, emails, or during meetings and visits.

 

Ø Work in close collaboration with sales, marketing EMEAI team as well as product creation and labs teams to follow up project and service request activities and to ensure optimal flow of information internally and to customers.

 

 

 

Ø Work on solutions proposals and transmit information’s to the relevant internal positions and customers, sales and marketing teams.

 

Ø Ensure technology watch and provide inputs on technical trends and competitors information’s to the Technology department

 

Ø Act as a technical focus for other businesses within Advanced Materials like Power, Specialty components etc

 

Ø Provide development work and investigation reports to the customers and present the results to technology, marketing and sales teams.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

 

 

Education

 

MS in technology, chemistry or engineering. Ideally polymer chemist or material engineer.

 

Experiences

 

At least 7 years of experience in technology and product development for composites and adhesives (tooling would be an asset).

 

Solid knowledge in Epoxy and PU chemistry as well as other thermosets.

 

Know-how & Skills

 

Solid technical knowledge in organics, polymers, technical processes, applications and materials.

 

Ability to analyze technical issues and creative solution oriented, solid project management skills.

 

 

 

Non technical competencies

 

English and Russian is a must, plus other languages are appreciated

 

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Using resources and achieving valuable results.

 

 

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

 

Work in the Technical Support / Field Promotion (Technology EMEAI)

 

High collaboration with the Technology teams in Basel is required.

 

Work on a remote basis.

 

Report to the TS / FP manager with main focus on composites, adhesives, and tooling applications.
